Surprisingly, I am not tired yet of my three blogs’ identical themes. I’m so loving WP Premium because the total appearance is clean and simple, it’s very easy to organize the sidebar and most importantly, tweaking its template doesn’t require professional knowledge about php, html and java script. It’s such an amazing thing that the creator has provided a short instruction on how to modify the tags for each part of the blog. The only problem I see is that the available colors for the free version is too limited. Only red, black and brown. I got red for Penned by Sterndal and black for Manila Street which seems appropriate. But I’m just not satisfied with brown for The Starlit Sky and I can’t update my blog as often as I want if I am bothered with something. My initial plan was to immediately change its layout as soon as find a suitable theme which I thought will take only a few days. I thought it’s gonna be easy to find something white with a little shade of blue, seo optimized, widget-ready, advertisement-ready and basically just something plain and neat-looking. I don’t like anything complicated so choosing templates that still need customization is never an option. I’ve seen a lot of elegant magazine themes in the web but they are not cheaply priced :-( Purchasing the license will cost me around 100 dollars and HELLO! That’s 5000 pesos when converted to my country’s currency, that’s worth more than my annual web host plan, and well, that’s worth a shopping spree at Divisoria Mall! Waah! I really don’t think I can spend a big amount of money for my blog’s beautification. NOT NOW. Maybe in the near future but not now.
I couldn’t help but just break into a big grin one morning while I was listening to the radio. The DJ said something like this “if your boyfriend is handsome, rich, sweet, thoughtful, etc., then it only means one thing…he’s just an imagination, an illusion, not real, wake up!” followed by a very sarcastic, insulting laugh. What makes it funnier is that she delivered those lines in a manner that would make you laugh out loud and slap your knees. The DJ wasn’t really referring to a particular person but I think almost every girl is guilty of it. Either she really believes that her man is perfect, or she’s one of those hopeless ladies who are desperately searching for a “perfect match.” Either way, the joke was really funny, at least for me.
I’m not really sure if Mr. Dream Boy really exists. Nobody is perfect. If a man claims that he is, it would be just a make-believe. So I think I will just waste my time and effort if I go and search for one. But one thing I know will always be true. Looks are not everything and in the long run personality is what matters most. Honestly, I was quite surprised when my friends didn’t mention physical beauty. So does it imply that women don’t care about looks? LOL
Reading has its own rewards. Sleeping all day is another thing. I am a self-confessed sleeping addict. I’m obsessed with it because I can do so much when I dream – like flying, going to Paris, meeting the man of my dreams (and his beautiful wife? lol) and even the most impossible things can happen such as being reunited with my loved ones who already passed away. For me, sleeping is a wonderful blessing from the Lord. It’s my ticket to a wonderland of love and beauty, a way of escaping from all the troubles and worries of the real world. I’m not saying that I hate reality. All I’m saying is that when I sleep, it seems like I can temporarily forget about everything. I know it sounds absurd but if I would be given the chance, I’d go to Spain to taste their sangria and of course, to experience their siesta
“heller! you can have siesta in Manila!” you say, but I want to do it in Barcelona! period! haha! Ambishosa! Kidding aside, I just want to have a whole day when I can just sleep and read. I’ve been uber busy these past few days and I want to take a rest. You see, I work on a shifting schedule so it’s almost impossible to have a good sleeping habit. Two days to go and night shift’s going to start again. That would be for the whole month of December. Just the mere thought of it is enough to set me on a sad mood
But hey! I still have Sundays
Today is a very pretty day
I’ve been searching for ways on how to get free backlinks and I’m very lucky to discover about U.S. Immigration Support Link Exchange program. Somebody told me that I will need to spend lots of money if I want to have PR6 or above backlinks. But why will I pay if I can have it for free? All I have to do is go to this site tomorrow (because I’m too busy right now with some other things plus I’m too lazy to open my FTP):
http://www.usimmigrationsupport.org/linkexchange.html
Then add their link in my websites. Looks like the one below or if it doesn’t look good in my sidebar, I can also opt for banners and images.
Title: USCIS
URL: http://www.usimmigrationsupport.org/uscis.html
Description: The USCIS, or the United States Citizen and Immigration Service, is a department within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The USCIS was created by the Homeland Security Act of 2002. The USCIS consists of approximately 15,000 employees and 250 field offices around the world.
Next, fill up a short form about my sites and where they can find the reciprocal link and finally wait for two business days for processing.
I’m confident my blogs will be accepted because the only requirement is to add their link and as soon as they are able to locate it, a reciprocal link to my websites will be posted on their Resources Page. USCIS has a page rank of 6 and has more than 45,000 unique hits per day that’s why I really really really want to exchange links with them. I’ll let you know once my blog gets approved.
We basically agree on a lot of things but fights are inevitable. There was a time when me and “toot-toot” (secret!) ignored each other for a couple of days. I can hardly remember the root cause of our misunderstanding but it was just a petty thing. Heck! Can’t even remember how is was resolved! But one thing I really appreciate in our friendship is that despite our conflicting personalities, we simply fit
When we entered college, though, we seldom got the chance to see each other. We went to different universities and we took up different courses. We met new people and we hung out with a new group of friends. We have been exposed to a much bigger world but we remained special to one another. We managed to keep in touch through e-mails, friendster, and whenever one of us has the time to spare, we do home visits.
Given the 9 long years of being close friends, I can say that we all learned from everything that we went through, including that crime we did in our Physics class haha! Sure, people can call us bitchy for all they want, but if was all part of the learning process, whether good or bad. I honestly don’t see the need to have anything edited or deleted. No regrets!
PS. If God would grant this, I would love to read again this post when I turn 80 yrs old
I want to relive again the memories and the lessons that go with it.
