Mary’s Note

One of my deepest regrets in life is that I wasn’t able to keep all the letters and notes that I received from close friends, classmates and acquaintants. I love handwritten letters. For me they are special. In fact, I used to have a shoebox full of letters which I managed to carefully collect since grade 5 up to college. Valentine’s, christmas, lenten season, birthday, etc. But an evil relative stole my letters away :( Her purpose? I know why but it’s a dark family secret. Something I shouldn’t disclose in public. I don’t know what she’s going to do with all those “happy-valentine-merry-christmas-happy-birthday” notes but until now I still curse her for what she has done. Ok. Wait. It’s not exactly a family secret hehe. It’s just too personal to talk about that here.

On the brighter side, those people who gave me those letters will never be forgotten. They will always be kept inside my heart. I may not recall anymore the content of their letters, but I will never forget their thoughtfulness and kindness. I know it sounds mushy but it’s true hehe :)

Sterndal,

Heia! New name mo! Neway, thanks for this wonderful time. I miss doing this thing which we usually do way back in high school. Everytime you get to look at this, you’ll feel and remember I am still the same person hooking up with your life years from now. Thanks for being my real bestfriend! Take care! God bless! Have a blessed holy week!

A New Little Angel

Today is a very special day. My sister and my brother-in-law have just announced that they’re going to have a baby soon :) This is their first! Everyone in the family is so happy and excited about it. In fact, mom is already thinking of buying gifts for my sister and her baby-to-be. Although it’s a bit too early to search for the perfect gift, Kally is just 3 months pregnant, we want something that the baby can use like changing tables, toy chest, or baby mobile.

The preparation for the coming of our new little angel is such an awesome responsibility. Kally and BJ are already planning about the nursery room. My brother-in-law wants it to be all white. They don’t like blue. They don’t like pink. They think white is appropriate whether the future baby is a boy or a girl. For the furniture, they want to purchase a rocking chair and a baby crib as early as now. They also want everything to be made of wood. For the first time parents-to-be, they realized that they must be meticulous in choosing the quality baby furniture. After all, they will be using a big part of their savings for this much anticipated event in their married life so every single cent spent should be worth it.

I just found a site that tackels about Nursery Furniture Buying Guide. Here, expectant mothers are given safety tips on buying the right cribs for their babies. I didn’t know that there are some requirements like “the distance between the crib slats should be no more than 3 inches,” things like that. I think every expectant dad and mom should read that article.
