A college friend who is currently working in a Japanese-owned business that exports fragranced candles invited me to attend their company’s trade show exhibits. My friend told me that the competition in the export industry is becoming stiff, so their company has to think of a new way of creating an impression in the market. She, also a Business Management graduate, is a part of the marketing team and she apparently needed some “friendly support” on her pilot project. And so I was there.
Honestly, this was the first time that I’ve attended a trade show display and I was quite impressed with the presentation. There were a lot of booths and a lot of people walking around. I was actually uncomfortable at first because most of the audience were business men, clients and marketing staffs. Fortunately, my friend would always ask me from time to time if I needed something or if I’m hungry
Katherine was super nervous because the trade show was her idea but based on the facial expressions of the attendies, there was no doubt that they appreciated the event as much as I did.
One of the many things that grabbed my attention was the design of the table covers and table top display. The prints were cute, there were pink florals, the fabric looked elegant and they made the room look nicer. The theme was perfect for the company’s products. Simple but not plain. On the table were the scented candles which I really loved! I was lucky enough to be able to get one for free, compliments of Katherine
