Ms. Onion Skin: Part 1

No matter how I try to avoid tackless people, it seems that they are scattered in the four corners of the world and that I will never be able to escape their sarcastic remarks. The problem with me is that I’m so sensitive and I tend to take things personally. I know it’s a negative thing and of course, I’m trying to improve myself. But I still feel uncomfortable being scrutinized (who doesn’t?) and as a result I often shut my doors to “potential friends” who have hurt my feelings.

Meet Ms. X. We’ve met through a common friend and I was quite surprised with how tacky she can be: “Why you’re so thin?! Maybe your mother cooks so bad!” – HAR HAR! Talk about loose lips and I’d bet she’s on top of the list! Sometimes people are just darn ignorant. I am having problems with my metabolism and my mom has nothing to do with it. GRRR!

Honestly, I didn’t know how to react. I am used to hearing people say “you’re so thin” or “you should eat more” or “do you have intestines?” in tones that really make me feel insignificant. Heck! You can even ask me if I am that poor that I can’t even afford to buy a piece of bread and I won’t give a damn shit. But to say that my mom cooks so bad just because I’m underweight is extremely unfair and is something I would never accept. Ever!

Cozy Feel

Personally, I prefer a bed made of tropical woods or peeled logs because it creates a nice inviting atmosphere. If only I could afford it, I want a bedroom with a log cabin look, something that I only see in my grandmother’s house in Cebu and beach resorts in Batangas. By simply looking at the photo below, you will have an idea on how I want my cabin bed to look like. It looks exactly the same except that the color of the wood is darker, the pillows are bigger, and the blankets would be pure white. Some people may think that a rustic furniture looks plain and old-fashioned but for me they give a look of natural beauty. I even heard that these beds are strong and durable so they would surely last for many years.
