I thought Smart is the best internet provider in the Philippines based on their TV commercials. However, it turned out that Smart’s advertisements about speed and being the best are misleading. I’ve been using it for a couple of months now and not once did I experience that 2 mbps they promised. All I get is 10 kbps which is turtle-slow. I’m just wasting my money. No. I actually feel like Smart is stealing my hard-earned money. It’s taking me forever to download songs and games and I can’t even view my blogs properly. I wish there are other options. I want to switch to Sun or Globe but a friend told me those two companies are even worse. Another friend told me that he’s okay with Smart because he gets 2 mbps during off peak hours. Which is so unfair. We’re both paying the same amount and his internet connection is faster than mine. I hate Smart big time. No wonder why the salesman was encouraging me to sign up for a two-year contract. Maybe they wanted to trap me in an agreement where I would pay a thousand pesos monthly for their poor service. Good thing I didn’t bring a valid ID when I applied, ha! My officemate told me i should get PLDT MyDSL instead. It’s not that fast but at least it’s stable.
Due to the fact that I was very shy as a child and also very quiet, I was victimized by bullies aka wild boys and mean girls. They’d exclude me in games, isolate me in activities, take away my things, tell bad things about me, etc. These things have an effect on my personality as I grew up. I became the least trusting person. I find it hard to give my trust to anyone suspecting that they might have a bad intention or their kindness might just be a facade.
I tend to be very picky with friends. I want to stay close to those people who are nice and kind. I mean of course who want to be with someone who is unkind? But what I’m trying to say is that as much as possible I just try to keep away from those who want to gossip. Yeah, I hate gossipers and makers of intrigues and also those who are plastic. But I also try to be civil to the people I don’t like to befriend. I give them a simple nod when I see them anywhere. Just a nod, no besos or hugs or chika.
I got that photo below from a chain e-mail which I received a couple of days ago. Its subject line was “What would you do if you had money as plenty as this?” For a few minutes, I found myself in a deep thought. MMmmmm…Who can possibly resist the joy of spending too much on fabulous shoes and stylish clothes without having to worry about paying the bills? Wouldn’t it be nice to take that dream vacation to Europe? See the magnificent Eiffel Tower or the artistic La Sagrada Familia and just live like a millionaire? You can even support a cause that saves lives or better yet, you can establish your own foundation just like Brangelina or Oprah! The possibilities are literally endless! You can buy a rocket then fly to the moon or travel around the world using a spaceship
Or for the simpler people like me: buy all the yummy chocolates in the world, get a sexy tan in Hawaii, then go back to Manila, share all the freaking money that I got, and just live a normal life…haaay! sarap mangarap
What about you? How are you going to spend your money if you were filthy rich?
If there is one place in this world that I’m dying to visit, that would be Barcelona, Spain. I want to see with my own eyes the famous La Sagrada Familia which was designed by one very peculiar architect – Antonio Gaudí. His structural plan was full of intricacies and complexities, it won’t be finished until year 2026! And would you believe that Gaudí and his contemporaries started working on this masterpiece over a hundred years ago? Wow! They sure are not in a hurry to get it done, huh?
According to a documentary film I’ve watched on t.v., Gaudí’s architectural design was unique in such a way that when you look at one side of his work, it would be totally different from the other sides. No wonder why lots of tourists from all over the world are coming to Barelona to see this work of art.
In order for me to spend treasured moments in the Iberian peninsula, I would have to exchange all my pesos to euros. And based on my calculation, I also need to save half of my salaries for the next 20 years or more so I could afford the plane tickets, hotel accomodations, etc. Hehe! Just like Señor Gaudí, I think I’m also not in a hurry
Arriba Barcelona!
Not that I’m bragging about this, but, from top 17 million, my blog ranks 510, 000 in Alexa now. Yippee! I know it’s not enough to get advertisers but I’m very thankful for this improvement and also to Miss Vienna and to those who accidentally visited my blog! According to Alexa, most of this site’s visitors are coming from Austria and I’m quite sure there is only person from that country who knows of my blogs’ existence, so, I’m guessing it’s just Ms. Vienna, but I’m also hoping that there are other people from Austria who frequent my blog
The top 2 country is USA, that’s Miss Ruthi and then top 3 is the Philippines, that’s me haha! Maybe I should use entrecard more often to gain more visitors? I’m also thinking of trying adgitize but I’m too lazy to install the codes plus I don’t know how it works and the rules. I honestly don’t want to bother my self with traffic as of this moment but it’s nice to know my blog’s rank is consistent for this month even if I didn’t work on it much. For now, I just want to concentrate on writing more posts and dropping at least 15 ECs a day to get some visitors (that 20 posts target within the month of October is driving me nuts, I swear! I just want my blog to qualify for PPP, that’s all). Again, thanks to my visitors!
